GoHighLevel Marketplace: How the HighLevel App Store Works

GoHighLevel Marketplace

Last updated:

The GoHighLevel Marketplace, officially the HighLevel App Marketplace, is the built-in store where you find and install third-party apps and integrations for your HighLevel account. Agencies use it to add new features to sub-accounts, resell apps inside SaaS plans, and even sell their own snapshots. This guide covers how the GHL Marketplace works, installing apps, developer basics and snapshot listings, as of October 2026.

What is the GoHighLevel Marketplace?

HighLevel’s help center describes the App Marketplace as a hub where you can search for and connect apps to your HighLevel account. Apps can add custom workflow actions and triggers, new conversation channels, custom scripts, payment options and many other features that HighLevel does not ship itself.

HighLevel says every app is reviewed by its own developers before listing. The developer side lives at marketplace.gohighlevel.com, which is also home to the official API documentation.

There are two places you will see the Marketplace:

  • Agency level, where agency owners and admins install apps for the agency or push them to sub-accounts.
  • Sub-account level, where sub-account admins can install apps that allow it and see apps their agency has installed for them.

As of October 2026, HighLevel’s help center says the agency-level App Marketplace is available on the Freelancer (Unlimited) and Agency Pro plans.

How do you find apps in the GHL Marketplace?

Click App Marketplace in the left menu of your HighLevel account. From there you can search by app name, browse the list, or filter by category in the left sidebar.

HighLevel also groups apps into curated collections as of October 2026:

  • Top Installed Apps, Newly Added Apps, Top Free Apps and Top Paid Apps.
  • Custom Experience Hub, for apps that add custom JavaScript or CSS.
  • Workflow Automation Hub, for apps that add custom workflow actions and triggers.
  • Conversation Hub, for apps that add custom conversation providers.

Each app has a details page with its rating, install count, target user, install eligibility, white-label support, pricing, version and developer. Check the Permissions section before installing. It shows which data the app can read and which it can change.

How to install an app from the HighLevel Marketplace

The steps depend on the app’s distribution type. HighLevel uses two labels on the agency side.

Distribution typeWhere it installsWho pays for paid apps
AgencyAgency level only. Sub-accounts cannot install it.The agency
Agency and Sub-accountAgency and chosen sub-accounts. Installs start at agency level. Each sub-account’s card on file, when payment is collected inside HighLevel

Installing an agency app

  1. Open the app listing and click Install App.
  2. Review the details and pricing, then click Allow and Install.
  3. For a paid app, pick a plan and confirm. HighLevel charges your card on file, or sends you to the developer’s own payment page.
  4. Finish the developer’s connection flow, which may ask you to log in to their service.

Installing an app for sub-accounts

For Agency and Sub-account apps, click Install and choose all sub-accounts or specific ones. Once installed, sub-accounts see the app under the Installed tab of their own Marketplace.

For paid apps charged inside HighLevel, each sub-account must have a card on file. HighLevel’s help center gives an example: if you select 10 sub-accounts and only 5 have cards, the app installs on those 5 and skips the rest until cards are added.

Managing and uninstalling apps

The Installed Apps page splits into Agency Apps and Sub-account Apps, with quick filters for apps that need an update or have failed connections. To remove an app, open Installed Apps, choose the app, click Uninstall, and pick the agency or specific sub-accounts if asked.

Reselling Marketplace apps in SaaS plans

Agencies running SaaS mode can bundle Marketplace apps into their SaaS plans. HighLevel’s help center lists the rules as of October 2026:

  • Only apps with the Agency and Sub-account distribution type qualify.
  • You can bundle up to 10 apps per plan.
  • Bundled apps install automatically only on new sub-accounts created on that plan.
  • App charges bill to your agency card by default, so build the cost and your margin into the plan price.

GoHighLevel Marketplace for developers

Developers sign up for the Developer Portal at marketplace.gohighlevel.com, create an app, and use OAuth 2.0 to get access tokens. HighLevel’s help center describes two access levels: Location (sub-account) access and Agency (company) access. PKCE is supported for public clients such as browser or mobile apps.

A few rules matter early as of October 2026:

  • The app’s target user (agency or sub-account) cannot be changed once set. HighLevel says most apps should target sub-accounts.
  • New apps must support bulk installation by agencies.
  • A private app can be installed in up to 5 agencies. Beyond that, it must go public or pass a security review.

If you are building an integration only for your own business, you may not need the Marketplace at all. Our GoHighLevel API guide covers Private Integration Tokens, OAuth, webhooks and rate limits. For no-code connections, see our GoHighLevel Zapier integration guide, and for AI assistants, our Claude and GHL MCP setup guide.

Snapshots on the Marketplace vs apps

People often mix up apps and snapshots: an app is software that connects to HighLevel and adds features. A snapshot is a saved copy of an account’s setup, such as funnels, pipelines, forms, calendars and workflows, that you can load into another sub-account. Our GoHighLevel snapshots guide explains them in detail.

HighLevel now lets agencies sell snapshots through the App Marketplace too. According to its help center, as of October 2026:

  • You start from Agency View, then Account Snapshots, then Sell on Marketplace.
  • Pricing can be free, freemium or paid, including one-time, monthly or yearly options.
  • Each listing holds one snapshot, so different snapshots need separate listings.
  • Enabling the Marketplace share link applies IP Protection, which stops buyers from repackaging or reselling your assets.
  • HighLevel reviews submissions for white-label compatibility, which it says takes 7 to 10 days.

Tips for choosing Marketplace apps

  • Check install count, reviews and the developer’s support details before trusting an app with client data.
  • Read the permissions list. Write access to contacts or conversations deserves extra care.
  • Confirm white-label support if your clients should never see the developer’s brand.
  • Test new apps in an internal sub-account before pushing them to clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the GoHighLevel Marketplace?

Inside your HighLevel account, click App Marketplace in the left menu to browse and install apps. Developers and snapshot sellers use the Developer Portal at marketplace.gohighlevel.com, which also hosts the official API documentation. Agency admins see the agency-level Marketplace, while sub-account users see apps available to their sub-account.

Are GHL Marketplace apps free?

Some are free and some are paid. Each developer sets pricing, which can include monthly or yearly plans, free trials, separate agency and sub-account prices, multiple tiers and usage-based charges. The pricing section on each app’s details page shows the current options before you install.

Which HighLevel plan includes the App Marketplace?

As of October 2026, HighLevel’s help center says the agency-level App Marketplace is available on the Freelancer (Unlimited, $297/month) and Agency Pro ($497/month) plans. Reselling Marketplace apps inside SaaS plans requires SaaS mode, which is part of Agency Pro.

Can sub-accounts install Marketplace apps themselves?

Only some apps allow it, since apps marked Agency can only be installed at agency level. Apps for sub-accounts may be installable by sub-account admins, or only by the agency, depending on how the developer set them up. Paid apps installed on sub-accounts are charged to each sub-account’s card on file.

What is the difference between the snapshot marketplace and the app marketplace?

Apps add software features through HighLevel’s API. Snapshots are pre-built account setups, such as funnels, pipelines and workflows, that load into a sub-account. Both are now listed through the HighLevel App Marketplace, and snapshot sellers can price listings as one-time, monthly or yearly.

How do I build an app for the HighLevel Marketplace?

Sign up for the Developer Portal at marketplace.gohighlevel.com, create an app, choose its target user and distribution settings, and implement OAuth 2.0 to get access tokens. Private apps are capped at 5 agencies as of October 2026, so public listing or a security review is needed to grow beyond that.
