How does the GoHighLevel cost calculator work?
The calculator adds your plan price to each usage charge. HighLevel bills texts, calls, phone numbers and email separately from the plan, through the LC Phone and LC Email wallet. Each line in the table multiplies your volume by the published rate.

What is a message segment?
A segment is a chunk of up to 160 standard characters. Longer texts are split into several segments, and each one is billed. Emojis and some special characters switch the message to a format that holds fewer characters per segment, which raises the cost.
Keeping key texts under 160 plain characters is the simplest way to cut your SMS bill.
What costs are not included?
- One-time A2P 10DLC brand and campaign registration fees, plus the monthly campaign fee.
- MMS (picture messages), which cost more per segment than SMS.
- Call recording, transcription and voicemail drops.
- International numbers and messaging, which use different rates.
- Taxes and payment processing fees.
How can I lower my GoHighLevel usage costs?
- Keep texts short and avoid emojis in high-volume campaigns.
- Use email for long updates and SMS for short, time-sensitive messages.

How much does GoHighLevel really cost per month?
The plan costs $97, $297 or $497 a month as of October 2026, and usage is added on top. A small business sending a couple of thousand texts, a few hundred call minutes and ten thousand emails usually adds a few dozen dollars in usage. Does GoHighLevel charge for inbound texts?
Yes. Inbound SMS segments are billed at the same $0.00747 per segment as outbound in the US and Canada, and carriers may add their own fee. That is why the calculator has separate fields for outbound and inbound segments, so two-way conversations are counted properly.
Is the carrier fee exact?
No. Carrier fees differ between AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and other carriers, and you cannot always know which carrier a contact uses. HighLevel suggests estimating about $0.005 per segment, so the calculator uses that figure to give a safe, slightly high estimate.
Are A2P 10DLC fees included in the estimate?
No. A2P 10DLC brand and campaign registration are mostly one-time fees, plus a small monthly campaign fee, and they depend on your registration type. They are listed separately in HighLevel’s help center. Registration is included in our Starter Setup help, so you are not left to work through it alone.
Which plan should I choose?
